In November 2019 I was part of a team doing an open-air crusade in Santiago del Estero, in Argentina, the crusade meetings are in the evenings we
often went out to share the gospel in the daytime, in parks, hospitals, even on the streets. As we were out and about with the pastor from the
local church lead us to Rosa’s house.
Rosa had been in hospital for an operation on her right eye. Unfortunately, the operation had not been successful and the sight in her eye had gone.
She was waiting for it to heal from the operation. We shared the Good news of Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection:
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
- Luke 4v18–19
She received Jesus as her Saviour and, as we prayed for her, the Holy Spirit manifested mightily upon her. She began to shake as the Holy Spirit moved
and worked in her life and she started to speak in tongues. As we told her to focus, her sight was restored.
Gloria a Dios!
